There is no question that the popularity of RV camping is growing. Last year, the RV section of the
Festival Campground was completely full. The RV section is a dedicated space that we can't easily expand, so we've reached a point where we need to ensure we have a spot for everyone before they drive out to the Festival Campground with an RV.
For the 2012 festival, we are introducing an
RV Vehicle Ticket for the Festival Campground only. The ticket will be sold as a stand-alone item, and will be valid with a 2012 Festival Campground Ticket. One pass will be required per RV (not per person).
The 2012 RV Vehicle Tickets will be available at the
Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store, or online on
Ticketmaster.
The tickets are $10.00 per RV. We'll have a limited number available in December as part of the
Holiday Pre-sale, the rest will go on sale on
February 14, 2012.

James Culleton Book Launch & Art Show
Join us for the launch of James Culleton's new book
Lyrical Lines, 7:00 PM on December 9 at
The Folk Exchange.
This book of drawings is a visual "who's who" of Canada's roots music scene in some of Winnipeg's most venerable music venues.
Artist statement: "I started drawing in sketchbooks at music shows almost ten years ago to keep myself busy when I wasn't playing music on stage. This book is a compilation of my favourite drawings out of those sketchbooks. Like an old photograph holds a memory, these drawings have captured significant musical moments for me. Whether it's a band's final performance, or a songwriter playing to a full house, these scribbles are lyrical in that they pick up on the mood of the show." - James Culleton
